• SEG Partners with Bryant University to Bring Social Impact Internships to Students

Five students will be selected and matched with social impact based ventures

Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) is partnering with Bryant University to educate and empower students through internships at social impact based ventures. Throughout the thirteen week program, the five selected students will receive hands-on experience in social responsibility, social impact, and entrepreneurship.

“This partnership connects budding entrepreneurs with seasoned leaders who are successfully implementing socially conscious business practices,” said Julie Owens, Chief Executive Officer of SEG. “We are so pleased to be able to offer the guidance and support necessary to prepare young innovators for what’s next.”

In addition, students will receive career guidance and attend four specialized workshops focusing on social impact. Before the program begins, accepted students will be interviewed by the team at SEG, and matched with a venture that best corresponds with their interests and goals. After a final interview with the chosen venture, students will be placed for the duration of the summer.

"We are thrilled to embark on this transformative journey with Social Enterprise Greenhouse, a partnership that underscores Bryant University's steadfast commitment to fostering the next generation of socially conscious leaders,” says Provost and Chief Academic Officer Rupendra Paliwal, Ph.D.  “Our students have a passion for social entrepreneurship and this collaboration will empower them to transform their passion into purpose to drive positive change. This partnership marks the beginning of an inspiring chapter in Bryant’s mission to embrace social responsibility."

The program runs from May 20 until August 14 with a special farewell celebration on August 22. Students will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other local university students during the course of the program.
