• BankRI Taps John Kirkwood as Director of Commercial Markets Payments Group

    Veteran financial professional has 25+ years of experience in foreign exchange trading
     
    With an eye on expanding services for its commercial clients, Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) has hired John Kirkwood as Director of its Commercial Markets Payments Group. John is a longtime financial professional who joined BankRI this past spring and works out of its Turks Head office in downtown Providence.
     
    John comes to BankRI with more than 25 years of foreign exchange experience and a specialized focus in corporate foreign exchange trading and payment processing. With BankRI, he plays a key role in business development and introducing growth efforts and technologies specific to international payments in USD and foreign currency. For commercial clients with foreign exchange needs, he tailors risk management plans and value-based payment processing solutions.
     
    Prior to BankRI, John was the owner and co-founder of Commonwealth Foreign Exchange, Inc.
