POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Supervisor oversees clinical services provided to youth and families while in a Boys Town program including supervision of all clinical staff and oversight approval of Medicaid reimbursed services. This position also provides therapy services as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:

Oversees the activities and supervision of clinical staff.

Provides individual and group supervision for staff assigned on a regular basis.

Reviews and signs clinical correspondence generated by clinical staff as required.

Participates as a member of the treatment team, providing clinical insight to program staff.

Participates in the assessment of prospective new clients as needed.

Oversees and approves Medicaid reimbursed services.

Participates in and approves the development of all treatment plans and subsequent reviews.

Reviews and verifies compliance with clinical documentation used to bill Medicaid services.

Coordinates clinical needs of the youth with Medical Director when necessary.

Approves all new provider applications.

Provides therapy to assigned children and families.

Provides psychotherapy to children and families including clinical assessments and individual, group, and family therapy.

Conducts psychotherapy sessions utilizing appropriate interventions generally based on a cognitive behavioral theory.

Serves as a role model in carrying out the Father Flanagan's Boys' Home mission.

Directs all activities towards the fulfillment of the Boys Town mission

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of psychology, mental illness, deficiency, deterioration, and personality disorders.

Knowledge of the principles and methods of administering, scoring, and interpreting a wide variety of psychological and vocational tests.

Knowledge of treatment or service planning, psychiatric rehabilitation methods, and psychological research and statistics.

Computer skills in Microsoft Office.

Skill in performing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy.

Ability to apply psychological principles to therapeutic intervention with individuals, groups and families.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to youth care including Medicaid.

High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization and with external contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.

Ability to build and sustain successful, professional relationships.

Ability to lead a team of associates.

Strong knowledge of Boys Town Model.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in area required to meet state licensing regulations.

3 to 5 years of related experience, including supervisory, is preferred.

Available to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES, AND LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Clinical license in the state of practice.

Reasonably expected to have and maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental and emotional) situations encountered on the job without compromising their health and well-being or that of their fellow employees, youth, or families.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally and inside conditions frequently. Includes constant interruptions, inappropriate behaviors, and the potential for verbal and physical threats from youth.
