Responsibilities of the HR Business Partner:
- Lead the entire recruitment process, including crafting job postings, sourcing candidates, conducting screenings and interviews, and finalizing selections.
- Collaborate with partners and leaders of practice groups to pinpoint staffing necessities and ensure timely fulfillment of vacant positions.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with legal recruiting agencies, universities, and other talent reservoirs.
- Offer guidance to both employees and managers on HR-centric topics encompassing policies, procedures, and performance matters.
- Manage employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions in alignment with the firm's protocols and pertinent laws.
- Develop and institute performance management initiatives, encompassing goal establishment, performance evaluations, and career progression strategies.
- Aid partners and practice group leaders in supplying constructive feedback and coaching for the enhancement of employee performance.
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs.
- Uphold adherence to compensation standards and oversee salary reviews, promotions, and bonus procedures.
- Remain up-to-date with labor laws and regulations relevant to the legal sector, ensuring compliance and timely adjustments to HR protocols.
- Safeguard personnel records and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive employee data.
- Collaborate with partners and practice group leaders to identify training prerequisites and implement targeted training programs for augmenting professional growth.
- Coordinate workshops, seminars, and growth opportunities for enhancing legal and non-legal skills.
- Advocate for diversity and inclusion initiatives within the firm, fostering an atmosphere of inclusivity and fairness.
- Create and present HR reports to management, offering insights and recommendations concerning HR-related subjects.
Requirements for the HR Business Partner:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Possession of a Master's degree is a beneficial addition.
- Demonstrated experience as an HR Manager or HR Generalist, preferably within a law firm or professional setting.
- Profound familiarity with employment laws, regulations, and optimal HR practices.
