    In this role, you will:

    As a key member of the Leadership Team, provide overall HR leadership strategy to develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s HR policies, ensuring that both organizational goals are achieved, and ensuring compliance with federal, state and industry-specific regulations.  You will actively collaborate with Senior Management to align HR policies and programs to strategic business objectives, and lead and develop a team of HR professionals, partnering with them to provide service to the organization in the following areas:

    Culture & Values – Lead and promote a culture that advances our agency’s mission, vision and values of respect, compassion, integrity, inclusivity, and excellence, including intentional work toward becoming an anti-racist organization

    Compensation and Benefits – Ensure that Meeting Street’s total rewards programs enable us to be a destination employer, and that the compensation program is internally equitable, competitive, and linked to performance

    Recruitment – Develop and implement recruitment strategies for a multi-cultural organization that ensures a diverse workforce which represents and fosters the diversity of our staff and clients, and effectively attracts appropriate professional talent pools in our industries

    Training and Development – Partner with senior leadership to identify and implement employee training and development programs related to human resource skills, diversity and inclusion, basic supervisory skills, and management and leadership development

    Performance Management – Develop and implement a performance management system that supports productivity, employee development, organizational effectiveness, and links to the compensation program

    Employee Relations – Handle employee relations issues, advise managers, and serve as internal coach and consultant ensuring fair and equitable treatment of employees while minimizing the organization’s liability

    Employee Engagement & Retention – Monitor employee morale to keep management and leadership informed of key issues and to identify opportunities for positive recognition and rewards with the goal of retaining employees

    HRIS Management & Reporting – Provide key data and metrics to Senior Leadership and management to “tell a story” in all areas related to human resources, and ensure the integrity of the HRIS system, employee database and records

    Budgeting & Financial – Manage the HR budget and HR operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating financial needs related to initiatives, identifying trends and variances, aligning monetary resources, developing action plans, and measuring and analyzing results, and authorizing payments

    • You have a solid knowledge of current human resources practices, principles and all applicable labor, wage and hour, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations, and stay informed of changes
    • You have strong interpersonal skills in your ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization, including front-line employees, management, and senior leadership
    • You can effectively partner and gain rapport with a variety of personalities
    • You have the ability to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise with finesse while accepting feedback, respecting the views of others, and challenging assumptions respectfully
    • You are culturally competent and are committed to anti-racism and inclusion in the workplace
    • You demonstrate open communication and proactively assess and initiate action in response to issues
    • You use appropriate discretion in keeping confidentiality
    • You are a strong leader and provide opportunities for professional development to your team, allowing them to develop their skills and knowledge, and have visibility within the organization for their contributions

    • You are analytical and data-driven to deliver factual, quantifiable information to stakeholders
    • You understand HIPAA, basic privacy guidelines, laws and regulations that pertain to our industries, programs, and overall business operations
    • You have strong computer literacy and are adept in administering an HRIS system
    • You have financial literacy in your ability to understand financial statements, partner with our finance department and program leaders

    What you need:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a concentration in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Liberal Arts, Education, or related field
    • 10+ years’ experience gained through increasingly responsible positions within Human Resources. Strong HR generalist experience required
    • 5+ years’ experience selecting, managing, and developing HR professionals
    • A proven track record of developing and implementing innovative HR programs and initiatives to establish and maintain an “employer of choice” status for an organization
    • Experience with employer benefit, safety, and compensation programs
    • Experience delivering effective employer relations programs and practices
    • Experience developing and implementing employee development and training initiatives
    • Hands-on experience recruiting and selecting key staff, including senior managers/leaders
