    Rhode Island College invites applicants for the position of Coordinator, HR (Recruitment/Hiring, MP, Training/Development). This is a full-time, calendar year, continuing position.

    The Human Resource Coordinator assists with the day-to-day administration of recruitment efforts through hiring process, creation/modification of job descriptions and postings, Applicant Tracking System updates (non-classified and classified), train/guide search committees/hiring managers throughout search and hiring process including assisting supervisors and applicants as needed, maintain immigration forms/files. Create and maintain related organizational charts. Coordinate internal monthly payroll hiring process. Assist with on-boarding and related employee training/development/engagement activities. Support a variety of other routine human resources functions and complex projects as needed. May supervise HR Assistant or student workers.

    Required qualifications:                                                                                                      

    • Associate’s degree in business administration or other related field and four (4) years of relevant personnel experience or a Bachelor’s degree with specialization in public administration, human resources management, psychology, education, or a closely related field, including or supplemented by courses in personnel administration and two (2) years of relevant personnel experience.
    Preferred qualifications:                                                                                                                   
    • Experience in recruitment and creation of job descriptions.
    • Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations such as, EEO, ADA, FLSA, FMLA
    • Familiarity with PeopleSoft, PeopleAdmin, Workday or other enterprise data systems or applicant tracking systems.
    • Experience in a higher education HR office.
    • General payroll knowledge
    • Bilingual
