    Position Overview: 
    The Custodian will ensure the safety and maintenance of all Children’s Friend buildings and occupants; provide coordination of maintenance and repairs, or arrange repairs, for building structures and operating systems as needed.
     
    Maintains facilities, both internally and externally, including but not limited to bathrooms, cleaning general areas, floors, etc.
     
    Maintains agency truck, if appropriate, and keep cleaning supplies stocked and maintained.
     
    Responds to Inclement Weather according to Agency and Departmental protocol.
     
    Responds to work orders such as changing light bulbs, replacing light switches, moving furniture, landscaping, power washing, grounds maintenance, and assisting Maintenance Technician. 
     
    Makes constructive use of individual supervision.
     
    Ability to interact with members of the community representing diverse backgrounds and interests.
     
    Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
     
    Qualifications:
    • A HS Diploma or GED required.
    • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
    • Solid problem solving and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of safety and first aid.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
    • Driving record must meet Children’s Friend standards requirements.

Our services include Early Head Start, Head Start, Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), adoption, foster care, support for families with substance abuse, counseling, assistance for children with developmental delays, and other child welfare and early childhood services.
