    A Conversation with Karina Wood about the Goldman Sachs 10K Small Businesses Program


     

    Chamber President Laurie White recently spoke with Karina Wood, the founding executive director of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program at the Community College of Rhode Island.

    Karina has led this small business growth and local economic development program since March 2016, during which time it has served to support over 400 Rhode Island small business owners to increase their revenues, create new jobs, be a force for good in their communities and help grow the local economy of the Ocean State.

    Any Rhode Island small businesses interested in applying to join the next cohort for this FREE 12-week program starting in January 2023 must apply by October 10 at 10ksbapply.com.
     
     
    Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses provides business education, support services and pathways to capital for growth-oriented entrepreneurs. Participants gain practical skill to take their business to the next level, with topics like financial statements, negotiations, and marketing. Participants develop an actionable growth plan for their business with the help of advisors and a network of like-minded entrepreneurs.

    The program is free for participants and delivered in partnership with academic institutions across the country. To date Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses has served over 10,000 businesses in all 50 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico.
