    This course is available 100% online and students will be expected to participate in class meetings and discussions in ZOOM.

    This 32-hour course will provide students with skills and techniques such as active listening, reframing, brainstorming, handling power imbalances, and dealing with impasse; all of which are skills needed to engage parties to talk with one another.  Although these skills may have been learned in other venues, the umbrella of mediation offers a process context to work through conflict in a more deliberate and meaningful way. The course surpasses the 30-hour minimum training requirement to serve as a mediator in the State of Rhode Island. 

    Microsoft Office Specialist Certification – University College RWU
    This course is available 100% online and self-paced.
     
    Learn and demonstrate your skills in Microsoft Office applications by earning a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification.     Commercial Hydroponics - University College RWU

    This 12-week course will include two, two-hour online course meetings per week.  Participants will have additional assignments and readings to help develop their system.

    The Hydroponics industry, currently estimated at USD 8.1 billion, is projected to double by 2025*.  This Commercial Hydroponics course will provide you with the practical knowledge, strategies and tactics to succeed in this high demand and growth industry, and provide a sustainable food source for your community.

     

    A commercial-scale hydroponic operation can produce food all year round in any climate and can do it in urban environments - right near the point of consumption. That means that produce that is harvested today can be delivered today. This guaranties freshness, quality and consistency for the consumer but also reduces carbon emissions associated with the standard supply chain.
