    January 2020 Call to RI Artists: Urban Wildlife Exhibit Creature Conserve and Sprout CoWorking invite artists to collaborate with scientists to create art for an exhibit that explores the lives of wild animals in urban areas and the human responses to this shared territory. Our goal is to encourage the viewing public to take an active role in healthy co-existence with urban animals. This is a juried exhibit April 1-30 with a $10 entry fee, open to all Rhode Island artists of all skill levels and all forms of visual art. Submission deadline: February 1, 2020.     1/1 4-7 pm Hope and Change for Haiti Fundraiser for Marie Michaelle Saintil:  an evening of traditional Haitian pumpkin soup and live performances to raise money for Marie Michaelle, 41, a Haitian-born community activist, spoken word artist, poet and performer with stage 4 metastasized breast cancerTickets are $20, donations are welcome, and HnC hopes to raise $5,000 to help cover Marie Michaelle’s medical bills and expenses not covered by insurance. To learn more about Marie, https://www.mmichaelle.com/

    1/14 7-9 pm Providence Toastmasters Club: Providence Toastmasters have monthly meetings at Sprout CoWorking Providence. The club welcomes new visitors to come work on their public speaking skills in a supportive environment. There’s no need to feel pressure at your first meeting, you can simply observe!     1/16 5:30-8:00 pm Suburbia: an exhibit of paintings by Zach Prosser: Stop by the Gallery at Sprout CoWorking to see our newest exhibit of apocalypse paintings by Zach Prosser based on a post-modern world affected by natural disasters and global warming. The evening will include a theatrical performance by The Wilbury Theatre Group and music by Michael Glucksman. Free and open to the public.
