Robinson+Cole Signs-on to ABA’s Well-Being Pledge
Robinson+Cole has signed the American Bar Association (ABA) Well-Being Pledge, a campaign dedicated to improving the substance use and mental health landscape of the legal profession. Organized by the ABA Working Group to Advance Well-Being in the Legal Profession, the Pledge is designed to address the profession’s troubling rates of alcohol and other substance-use disorders, as well as mental health issues.
“We are proud to take this pledge in support of a healthy work environment for all at R+C and for the legal community,” said Robinson+Cole Managing Partner, Stephen E. Goldman. “Our people are our greatest asset and providing them with tools and resources that can enhance their overall wellness is critically important to the vitality of the firm.”
“Being mindful of and providing resources for the overall wellness of all of our lawyers and staff is a necessary responsibility,” said Real Estate + Development Group Partner April F. Condon. “I am honored the firm has asked me to help spearhead this important initiative.” Ms. Condon will lead Robinson+Cole’s Wellness Committee and all efforts in support of the ABA Well-Being Pledge. The Pledge includes the adoption of a seven-point framework that identifies the core areas on which firms should focus and the concrete steps they should take as they seek to achieve the campaign’s goals of raising awareness, facilitating a reduction in the incidence of problematic substance use and mental health distress and improving lawyer well-being.
