    Steer Films to screen "First Light: Celebrating 20 years of Chandra Observatory" at The Explorers Club NYC on Oct 19, 2019.

    Steer Films, based in Providence, RI was selected to partner up with NASA and the Center for Astrophysics l Harvard & Smithosian to create the film to celebrate the achievements of X-Ray astronomy. 

    Director Carlos Toro, will be holding a Q&A session after the film is complete.

    This film will be screened as part of The Space Stories series at the Explorers Club.  The full Space Stories line-up will include:

    John Elbon, Chief Operating Officer of United Launch Alliance, a US service provider that manufactures and launches a number of rockets capable of carrying satellite payloads into orbit.

    Dave Hodge, US Global Ambassador and founding partner of the Iceland Space Agency who recently tested Mars spacesuits in the difficult Iceland terrain.

    Carlos Toro, Creative Producer and Director, Steer Films - and producer of "First Light," a film about NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory.

    Robert Pearlman, well-known Journalist and Space Historian, founder and editor of collectspace.com

    Beth Moses, Commercial Astronaut and Chief Astronaut Instructor and Interiors Program Manager for Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo program.

    Tim Gagnon, a member of the International Association of Astronomical Artists (IAAA) and space mission patch designer.
