Come learn about the environmental impacts of industrial animal agriculture and how together, we can eat our way to a better future. When Gabriella Palko first read about the decimation of North American grassland prairies for cattle grazing, she was intrigued. But when the author told her “if you can take on the meat industry, you can save the world”, her 18 years of carnivorous living came to a screeching halt. A resource-intensive industry with externalities like greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, and species extinction, food production plays a critical role in the current ecological crisis. Luckily there are both personal and systemic solutions to address this pivotal problem.
