Will replace Greg Cabral, who successfully helped grow blum in Rhode Island
Luke Ebersold has been appointed Rhode Island Managing Partner. He will succeed Greg Cabral, who will begin his transition towards retirement after several years at the helm and successfully leading the merger of the former Sullivan & Company with blumshapiro in 2013. Greg will continue in his role as a tax advisor for the firm, servicing his clients during the transition period.
“Under Greg’s leadership, we have made great strides in the Rhode Island market and it has been Greg’s keen understanding of the distinctiveness of the Rhode Island market that has helped us to succeed here,” said blumshapiro CEO Joseph Kask. “Greg has done an incredible job laying the foundation for blum to continue to innovate and grow the Rhode Island practice and enabling us to serve the needs of our clients”.
“Luke Ebersold has been a cornerstone at blumshapiro and integral to our growth and success for more than 20 years. Luke’s experience will serve as a tremendous asset to our Rhode Island practice and will be instrumental to our continued growth,” Joseph Kask said. “As the leader of our Construction and Real Estate Practice and a member of our Executive Committee, Luke has demonstrated his ability to be a strategic asset to the firm. I am confident that under Luke’s leadership, we will be able to successfully serve our communities and help our clients achieve success.”
“I am excited and honored by this opportunity, and first and foremost want to thank Greg Cabral for his leadership over the past several years; we would not be where we are today in the Rhode Island market without his talents,” Ebersold said. “My family and I are excited about our move to Rhode Island. For the past several years, we have spent most of our summers here—and now with two children attending Roger Williams University, we have decided to make Rhode Island our permanent home.”
Luke has a residence in Narragansett and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Construction Financial Management Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. and the ACE Mentor Program of RI. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
