  • CCRI Offers Free Training Opportunities in Data Literacy and Spanish for Supervisors

Employers across Rhode Island are increasing their efforts to keep pace with the ever-changing demands of the labor market. The Community College of Rhode Island has built two cross-cutting trainings geared to equip Rhode Island’s workforce with in-demand skills: Data Literacy and Spanish for Supervisors.
CCRI’s Data Literacy training provides participants with an introduction to data analytics, with topics including: data analysis concepts and techniques, collecting and cleansing data, MS Excel, discrete mathematics and analysis methods (30 hours). Spanish for Supervisors training provides students at beginning levels of Spanish proficiency with the opportunity to build acquisition in all four domains of language (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and support their working knowledge of Spanish grammar (20 hours).
For a limited time, the Department of Labor and Training has pre-funded these trainings for qualified participants, through grants from Real Jobs Rhode Island. To register, or for more information, please contact workforcepartnerships@ccri.edu.
