Built in 1828, the Arcade stands today as a National Historic Landmark
in downtown Providence. This iconic structure, barely touched through
its 183 years watching over Westminster and Weybosset Streets, has
welcomed millions up its stairs and through its center, serving as the
''lobby'' of the city's financial district. After a recent redevelopment project, the Arcade is home to 48 micro-loft apartments on the upper two floors and 17 small businesses and restaurants on the first floor.
