Chamber Talks Knowledge Economy at House Economic Summit

Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce President Laurie White, Brown Medical School Head Dr. Edward Wing, Beta Spring founders Jack Templin and Allan Tear, and Ximedica President Steven Lane addressed Rhode Island House members on the importance of investing in and growing the state's Knowledge Economy. The presentation was part of the all-day Economic Summit held Tuesday, December 1 in the House Chambers of the Rhode Island State House.

The forum was a unique opportunity for the Chamber to talk about the power of the knowledge economy and its ability to create jobs at all points of the economic spectrum. Following the presentation House Majority Leader Gordon Fox called advancing the Knowledge Economy a "potential home run for Rhode Island."

Special thanks to the House leadership for inviting the Chamber and others to be part of such an important economic development conversation.
