Assistant Director, Facilities and Operations, Off-Hour Operations
Rhode Island College invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Director, Facilities and Operations, Off-Hours Operations. The individual will manage and provide oversight to all facility and operation functions including housekeeping that occur outside of the normal first shift operation (4:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.). He/she will also provide oversight and supervision to all facilities and operations personnel as well as contractors (i.e., housekeeping, grounds, maintenance, etc.) during off hour periods based on priorities established by the Associate Director of Custodial Services.
Established in 1854, Rhode Island College is a comprehensive mid-size institution of approximately 9,000 students. The 170-acre campus is located in beautiful, historic Providence, Rhode Island’s capital, with excellent proximity to the academic and cultural resources of Boston and New York City.
Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of progressive managerial experience in the area of facilities and operations or maintenance.
Preferred qualifications in any of the following: Experience in a unionized setting.
