    Job Description
    Sojourner House has an immediate opening for a Deputy Director of Programs. Sojourner House (www.sojournerri.org), is a comprehensive domestic and sexual violence agency that has experienced programmatic growth in recent years.  This position will serve as a member of the senior management team (along with the Executive Director and Deputy Director of Advancement) to ensure that the organization’s programs continue to be delivered with high quality and in a sustainable way.  The Deputy Director is charged with leading and overseeing Sojourner House’s programs dedicated to serving clients, including the residential programs, clinical program, and community-based advocacy programs. 

    Working with the Executive Director, as well as with the Residential Program directors, the Director of Immigration Advocacy, the Manager of LGBTQ+ Advocacy, and the Director of Clinical services, the Deputy Director will manage existing programs and identify new initiatives to benefit victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence; create initiatives to assess existing programs with an eye for quality improvement; provide data and program information for grant reports and proposals; work with community partners to facilitate collaboration; represent Sojourner House on various regional and state-wide committees; and act as an advisor to the Executive Director about the direction of the agency’s client services programs.

    The ideal candidate has a master’s degree or equivalent, and a concentration in or experience with social services, victim services, and nonprofit program leadership, management, and development. Experience leading and managing diverse teams and multiple programs across various locations and five to ten years of professional, full-time experience working in project management or a related field is required.
