EXPO 2008: Knowledge. Power. Opportunity. a Huge Success!

19th Annual Event Celebrates the Power of the Rhode Business Community
Highlighting the economic power of Rhode Island’s business community, the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce held its annual Business EXPO at the Rhode Island Convention Center Tuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7. With a theme of "Knowledge. Power. Opportunity." this year’s event successfully fueled local businesses and their employees with new ideas and opportunities to weather the current economic downturn and most importantly, make them a powerful catalyst for growth going forward.

The action-packed two days introduced some new faces to the business community, including John Maeda the recently appointed 16th President of Rhode Island School of Design and Kevin Dillon, new president and CEO of the Rhode Airport Corporation.

With professional development seminars on a host of topics ranging from how to successfully market, to interactive networking, to selling in a tough economy, and even tapping into Rhode Island’s growing geek marketplace, the show also exposed local professionals to innovative new business practices.

And of course, it provided unparalleled networking opportunities for exhibitors and attendees alike!

The Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to all exhibitors, sponsors, presenters and attendees for once again making Business EXPO the year's largest and most well-attended business-to-business exposition!
